Flight/First Impressions

In search of the hostel (and Hunter)

It was great to be on an airplane and actually get a substantial meal! I was impressed with Virgin Atlantic and all the amenities (toothbrush/paste/sleep mask/headphones/pen/pillow/blanket). They even gave us socks which was kind of weird. Then again, they did charge a fortune for the flight. I saved the sleep mask which will probably come in handy during this trip. I read my travel guide on London for a while and watched Shutter Island in the background (looks good, want to see the whole thing eventually). Then I fell asleep for probably the last 3 hours of the flight. There was supposed to be a breakfast but I think I might have slept through it.

After I got off the plane, it wasn't 3 minutes before I heard Cheerio! and bullocks (sp?). Hunter and I were supposed to meet at the "tube" (subway) station, but his terminal had a different stop on the line than mine so I ended up making the hour trek to Kings Crossing station alone, grabbed a sandwich and found a map. Our hostel, the Generator London, wasn't a bad walk and was surprisingly easy to find. I saw Hunter almost immediately when I got there. Now we're going to plan our day...
